How do you know if a piece of software can be integrated?

We check whether the software exposes APIs, webhooks, an accessible database, exports/imports, or other official exchange methods. We look at documentation, authentication, limits, available fields, and the vendor's terms. If there's no supported interface, integration may be limited or require more fragile workarounds.
