Does the data leave the European Union?

Many widely used services have infrastructure outside the European Union, so the question needs to be asked for each component: hosting, email, analytics, payments, AI models. A transfer outside the EU isn't prohibited, but it requires a legal basis and adequate safeguards. Where the requirement is strict, we favor vendors with European regions, checking that the option is actually available in the plan in use.
